Skiing holidays create memories for a lifetime. Who can forget those first tentative turns on snow watched by a nervous parent? Or the view from the top of the cable car on a clear winter day?

Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is ideal for families thanks to its mix of easy and challenging pistes served by state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts. Families with skiers of different ages and abilities can split up for the morning and then meet at one of the mountain huts for lunch. Teens can work on their tricks in the funpark while their parents lie back and enjoy a well-earned drink on the sunny terrace.

Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is one of the most snowsure resorts in the Alps and has developed a reputation among families thanks to its child-friendly facilities and wide range of slopes catering for all abilities.

The resort has a separate children's area for youngsters taking their first tentative turns on snow. Once they feel comfortable, children can join their parents on the many easy family-friendly pistes. All in all there are 90 km of easy and intermediate slopes. Speak to a member of staff at reception to find out about ski lessons and equipment hire in the hotel.

Teenagers can hit the snowpark and perfect their tricks with other freestylers, while advanced and expert skiers will find plenty on and off the pistes to challenge them.

Our team of professional and experienced childcare experts will be happy to look after your youngsters while you get out and experience a few remarkable moments in the spa, over a relaxing drink at the bar or with a little workout in the gym.

After a morning of learning under the guidance of local ski instructors there is still plenty of time in the afternoon to have fun and make new friends at the Edelweiss Kids' Club.

Childcare is available for children aged 3 and over and is open from Sunday to Friday from 3 pm to 10 pm.
